From the 'Appearance' section (Web Chat > Appearance) within the control panel, you can modify the look and feel of Oct8ne to customize it and integrate it with the appearance of your website.
If you have multiple registered domains, you can select one using the selector (top right) and modify its settings. The changes will be saved and applied only to the selected domain.
We found 4 sections:
Coviewer:
Here you can modify the color, position and style of the chat, as well as choose the logo that will appear in Oct8ne emails when the client receives a summary of the conversation.
The 'Smart' style is the one we recommend as it complies with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 Level AA) to ensure that it is an accessible content to people with disabilities; it is also our latest innovative, more modern and fresher design.
Livechat:
Similarly, you can customize the style of the different chat buttons (also called
widgets), for both PC and mobile. This allows you to completely modify the widget's design using a
custom layout.
In this section, you can configure the widget's color, type, device, modify the text (if it's a classic font), and other settings.
Enable or disable this feature to filter visitors who want to contact you by requesting their information. This will add a barrier to entry to the chat, but will provide quality conversations.
This form will appear before the visitor logs in. The user will need to enter their information to begin the conversation. This filter allows you to collect each visitor's information in your database and export it later from the statistics section.
You can customize the displayed message and configure it by language using the language selector. Don't forget to save your changes.
Other options:
From here you can configure your 'Invite Link' invitation links to redirect customers to the chat.
The invite link is a tool that allows you to create a custom link to your website to invite your customers to connect to a live consultation.
You can copy and paste the generated link into email campaigns, social media posts, or individual emails. Once a user clicks the link, they'll land on your website with the chat open, ready to talk.
Finally, in this section you can download the instructions to enable Phone Pin on your website; a tool to provide visual support for your phone calls.
