How to configure the tracking URL of orders in Prestashop

How to configure the carrier's tracking URL in Prestashop

The Oct8ne plugin for PrestaShop (version 1.0.28 and later) allows access to customer order data. Oct8ne's integration with PrestaShop orders lets you see the order number or ID, the products included in the order, and more. Among other things, it can also identify the shipping carrier and, most importantly for the customer, the order tracking URL.

For Oct8ne to provide this information, your PrestaShop store must have the shipping carriers correctly configured; otherwise, Oct8ne will not be able to access this data.

Detailed steps for configuring a shipping carrier

1.- Access the carriers section.
From your Prestashop back office menu, navigate to Shipping > Carriers.

2.- Create a new carrier.
Click the button to add a new carrier and begin filling in the basic information.
Name: The name of the carrier (for example, "Standard Service" or the name of the courier company).
Transit time: Indicate how long the shipment will take to arrive. This field is required and is used to offer different time slots with varying prices.
Shipping speed (optional): Some templates display this as a percentage.
Logo (optional): Upload an image so customers can visually identify the carrier.
Tracking URL (optional): Enter the tracking URL provided by the courier company so the customer can track their order. (VERY IMPORTANT!)

Info
Tracking URL. This field should be filled with the tracking URL provided by your carrier (if one exists). Enter "@" where the tracking number will appear.

For example, the French postal service (La Poste) provides this URL. When customers complete their purchase, they will receive that URL with the "@" replaced by the tracking number provided by the carrier, allowing them to click on that link and see the delivery status.
